System solution for the Paris Airshow 2005
The Paris Airshow at Le Bourget airport is the leading international event for the aviation, aeronautic and space industries. It is the place to do international business – for the spare parts supplier as well as the airplane manufacturer. In 2005, more than 1,700 companies from 41 countries exhibited. The number of visitors is also spectacular: More than 94,000 professionals, 143,000 laymen and 3,400 journalists.
The requirements of our customer MTU Aero Engines:
- Creation of a network and communication infrastructure
- Cross-linking trade fair site across 800 m from the chalet to the exhibition hall.
- Software (trade fair information system) for administering trade fair staff and registering visitors.
- Building up an infrastructure from computer work spaces, servers, internet connections, telecom hardware and office equipment.
- Establishment of a VPN-connection with the MTU company network using dual-band ISDN.
- Protected WLAN Hotspot (WiFi)
- Access control in the areas for professionals and VIP.
- Ongoing service on site
- Final visitor evaluation
Project planning particularity:
The German technical standards must be adjusted to the local conditions when planning international events. Our ongoing collaboration with international trade fair organizations formed the basis on which we could execute the requirements in a realistic way, enabling us to maintain a smooth order of events.
