
From 26 to 28 November, NurembergMesse set the stage for BrauBeviale. Beverage producers and bottlers of beer, mineral water, soft drinks and juices, as well as wine, sparkling wine and spirits, presented their innovations and developments along the entire beverage production process chain. This year, exhibitors came from 43 countries and, with their products, solutions and services from 19 different product groups, spread across nine halls. From raw materials to filling and packaging through to marketing — visitors were able to take a closer look at every single step. The XFAIR team was once again on site for our customers, supporting them with a wide range of software solutions. In addition, we provided extra equipment beyond the technical gadgets required for the above services, and our technicians were also involved in the cabling of the stands.

Details about the project implementation
At BrauBeviale, the customer wanted not only to ensure their information desk staff were well equipped, but also to present their own app and a digital showroom. To do so, they needed the relevant event technology and, of course, a stable and high-performance network at the stand. In addition, for the first time, those responsible wanted to use a mobile catering solution for the catering crew and manage meeting rooms centrally at the information desk.
From a technical perspective, this project was a little more complex, as in addition to a total of 49 displays, a sound system for the customer's morning address also had to be transported to the trade fair and set up. The team also provided a stable LAN connection across the entire exhibition stand, including the meeting rooms — the stand stretched across three individual exhibition areas, so the network had to be set up via direct connections. The stand was also equipped with Wi‑Fi for up to 400 devices and an additional guest Wi‑Fi with a ticketing system.
Both information desks were equipped with a total of eight workstations, i.e. each with a PC including mouse and keyboard. The larger of the two helpdesks also had two name badge printers which the on-site staff could use to provide replacements if any staff badges were needed. In addition to the name badges, the team at the information desk — supported by our Customer Care team — also handled meeting room booking and management using the XFAIR Event Management Software (EMS). Thanks to our mobile catering solution, the catering provider's service staff were able to process their orders quickly and efficiently.

As mentioned, the XFAIR catering tool was used for the first time for this customer at BrauBeviale. With the help of the mobile application, the catering team delivered a total of 5,225 items to trade fair visitors and stand staff — 3,302 drinks (including 1,561 beers) and 1,923 meals. Configuration of the software, populating the database and assembling the technical portfolio for the trade fair took place within a lead time of one month.
