
From 22 to 24 October, the Hannover exhibition grounds opened their doors for 1,184 exhibitors from the metalworking sector. At EuroBLECH, manufacturers and suppliers of materials, machinery and tools showcased solutions across the entire sheet metal processing technology chain. The international trade fair offered a unique platform for knowledge transfer and for building global business contacts. XFAIR was on site to support our customer hands-on and ensure smooth operations throughout the event.

Details about the project implementation
This time, our customers each needed a registration tool that could handle both ticketing and hotel management. In addition, a solution for stand management and meeting room administration was requested.
Alongside equipping an information desk with workstations for the stand team, including network access, the technical scope also included setting up XFAIR software on the customer’s own hardware.
The XFAIR team implemented an online registration that allowed the customer’s staff to order a ticket directly during sign-up for their trade fair assignment. In the same process, meeting rooms could already be booked in advance. iPads installed by XFAIR technicians displayed the occupancy status of each room. XFAIR also equipped this customer’s stand information desk with telephones and internet access so that visitors could be connected with the right contacts via our stand management solution. Preparations for this project took around two and a half months.
In addition, a second online registration was required that could be made available to both employees and invited visitors. For this purpose, multiple registration groups were configured to distinguish between employees, visitors and delegations. Meeting room administration as well as hotel management were integrated into this registration flow. Hotel management included distributing requested bookings across the hotel allotments secured by the customer. Staff check-in at the stand was handled via the XFAIR Check-In Tool. After completing registration, the stand team received an email from the XFAIR system that enabled staff to check in and out by scanning their e-ticket.

Alongside the online registration including ticketing, our SMS module was used extensively to send a daily SMS from the XFAIR system to all staff registered for that day, containing key information for the trade fair day. The feature was also used in between when there were internal messages relevant to the team. We’re always pleased when customers particularly enjoy one or more functions of our solutions.
Thanks to the trusting and intensive collaboration during the nearly four-month preparation phase, strengthened by years of working together, we can look back on a successful project for the larger of the two assignments at EuroBLECH as well. Once again, it became clear what a major advantage XFAIR’s highly flexible system provides.
